Trace individual image color regions into vector paths

Image Trace Promax groups image colors and traces region boundaries into SVG paths. Choose black-area or multicolor tracing, adjust the detail and compare the result with your original. This first version is useful for experimenting with logos, flat artwork and illustrations with clear color boundaries.

How to use it

  1. Select a PNG, JPG, WebP or BMP image from your device.
  2. Choose black-area or multicolor mode, adjust detail and smoothing, then trace the original image.
  3. Inspect the outlines, small regions and holes; export SVG and reopen it in vector-design software.

Before you export

  • More colors preserve more shades but create additional paths. Photos, gradients and small images may need manual cleanup after tracing; images are always processed at their original dimensions.

Common questions

Does this SVG just embed the original raster image?

No. The result contains color-region outline paths that you can open and edit in vector software. It is an automatic reconstruction from raster pixels and does not reliably recover the original design paths.

Is my image uploaded to a server for tracing?

Image contents and path tracing are processed in your browser. You download the resulting SVG directly to your device.
